My Chocolate Story | Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Hello bloggy~ i know what your thinking, "where were you all this time?" deshou? im so sorry bloggy super busy and i have so much on my mind right now so yeah.you understand yeah ; ) so anyways lets focus on this. for days  ive been wanting to make a nice bowl of chocolate mousse but somehow the idea skip my head or i didnt have the mood to you know make something in the kitchen (i a mood girl) lol so yeah today finally i made my first ever batch of chocolate mousse. very basic ingredients and omg! tastes lovely (tasted it before it went in the fridge)

INGREDIENTS:
(got the ingredients from theonepotchef at YT and made some changes)

300g Dark Cooking Chocolate
125g Butter (at room temperature)

4 Eggs (Separate Whites from the yolks)
2 Tablespoons Sugar (i put them in the mixer and ground it into a fine powder)

As usual i never follow recipes without tweaking them so added the bottom two ingredients as well. This is optional

My secret ingredients :
1/4 tablespoon instant coffee powder and 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

I made half the amount mentioned here since it was my first time making them.made 6 glasses like you see in the picture above. so if you use the above values you would make 12 : ) (duh nacchan)
METHOD:
1.One a heat proof bowl add the chopped up chocolates and add in the butter.
2.Place it on top of a pan with some simmering water.Do not let the bottom of the pan touch the water.just the steam.
3.Mix them well and once they've melted beautifully take them off the pan.
4.Now to this mixture add in the egg yolks, vanilla essence and coffee and beat them with a whisk.
5.Set that chocolate mixture aside.
6.Now in a clean bowl add in the egg whites and using a beater beat them until they form soft peaks.
(make sure the bowl and the beater dont have water droplets or grease of any sort, otherwise the egg whites wont volume up and that is a problem since we the mousse mixture to stay soft and fluffy)
7.At the soft peak stage add in the sugar.I used granulated sugar so i had to grind it into a fine powder.you can use castor sugar or icing sugar.
8.Continue beating until firm peaks form.
9.Now for the tricky bit.the chocolate batter and the beaten egg whites are of different densities just add 1/3 of the white mixture to the chocolate batter and swirl it around.this makes the batter more loose which makes folding in the rest of the white mixture and easy task.
10.Now fold in the remaining white mixture.FOLD the mixture so as to retain much air we incorparated into the whites. We dont want the air out and make the mixture flat.
Thats it. Your done. Now all you have to do is pour it into individual serving cups or into a nice big bowl and put it into the refrigerator to set for 6-8 hours or until set. you can leave it for 4 days maximum : ) I just grated some chocolate on top as garnish.A little extra chocolate never killed anyone yeah lol XD
Just took one glass and dug myself in.Hoomyyygoood!! Tastes heavenly *___* trust me!!! i love this soo so much and it came out awesome with my first try Alhamdulillah. So happy.I can eat this all day.Its soft and fluffy and so rich in taste *cries in happiness* Will eat the rest with my family member i.a after having dinner : ) What a wonderful treat you are chocolate mousse san.
